REP. TY COBB ANNOUNCES “GOOD GOVERNMENT FAIR”
Program designed to bring much needed state services to local constituents
NASHVILLE (Sept. 1) – On Thursday, State Representative Ty Cobb (D-Columbia), announced that he will be holding a “Good Government Fair” at the Columbia Mall on Friday, October 16th, from 10AM to 6PM.
“During my first legislative session, I realized early on that there can be many barriers between my constituents and the state’s services.” said Cobb. “To remove those barriers and make these much needed services more accessible and responsive, I have decided to organize a ‘Good Government Fair’ here in Maury County that will bring those services down to the district.”
Different governmental agencies and community organizations will be stationed at booths throughout the Columbia Mall and provide opportunities for the public to ask questions and collect informational materials. Those agencies and organizations that will be attending include:
Dept. of Labor & Workforce Development
TN Housing Development Agency
Tennessee Department of Safety
Tennessee Regulatory Authority
Cover Tennessee
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency
Henry Horton State Park
Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities
Tennessee Department of Agriculture
Tennessee Department of Health
TN Department of Tourist Development
Ranger Program Office
Maury Alliance
Columbia Fire Department
Columbia Police Department
Maury Co. Office of Emergency Management

“Part of my job as their state representative is to help citizens access their state services and my hope is that this Good Government Fair will do just that,” said Cobb.
