Representative Ty Cobb introduces Mule Day Court to House of Representatives

NASHVILLE – On Monday State Representative Ty Cobb (D-Columbia) honored Rachel Etheridge, the 2009 Mule Day Queen and her court on the floor of the Tennessee House of Representatives.

“For years it has been the Mule Day tradition to recognize our queen and her court here at the State Capitol and it is my honor to continue that legacy,” said Cobb.  “These young ladies  represent the best of Maury County youth and what the day means to all of us.”

Rachel Etheridge, Tiffany Smith, Lindsey Thomas, Hannah Lawrence and Brittany Sharp were presented copies of House Joint Resolution 215 during the Monday evening session.  Dave Skillington and parents of the girls were also in attendance.  The queen was recognized for brief remarks to the legislators and invited all to attend Mule Day on Saturday, April 4th.
